In my blog, I normally like to post information geared towards my clients and those people looking for high-quality entertainment. Today, I’m going to switch gears and talk about Idaho Event Professionals (IEP), a group dedicated to providing opportunities for education, relationships and service for event professionals in this area.
I am the Communications Director for this group and couldn’t be happier with how well things are going. With the collaborative effort of the four talented board members, this group has had a resurgence over the last few months and it’s really exciting.
A lot of people like myself are independent business owners and/or work from home, so having somewhere to go where you can share ideas with other professionals is very beneficial. Having monthly luncheons, bowling nights, cocktail hours, etc. has not only energized the event community, but has inspired me to work harder. Being surrounded by other professionals like photographers, wedding planners, wedding DJs, caterers, etc. is helping fuel my fire which pushes me to be my best. I hope the group is inspiring other wedding and event professionals as well, because the better we can be, the greater our clients will benefit.
