Last weekend, I had the honor of being part of the inaugural “A Vintage Wedding Show at Belles and Beaux” hosted by I Love Boise Weddings and IDoWED at the beautiful Chateau des Fleurs in Eagle, ID.
I was one of three DJs in Boise representing their companies at this classy and elegant wedding show. I can honestly say it was a blast for several reasons:
First, I had the opportunity to chat with potential clients and other professionals in one of the most gorgeous venues in the state of Idaho. The wedding show wasn’t overly busy, which was great because I was able to have meaningful conversations with the brides-to-be. I think that’s important to someone looking for their vendors, especially the DJ & MC.
Second, the other event professionals and I got to witness a former Marine renew vows with his wife. They got married in a courthouse several years ago. He wanted to give her the wedding ceremony they never had. It was pretty special. Not something you normally see at a wedding show.
Third, I Love Boise Weddings gave away $500 to one lucky bride to spend on the wedding vendor of her choice. Helen, the winner, chose my Rhodes Entertainment DJ & MC Services. Wow! With all of the great options at this wedding show, it was truly an honor.
Finally, The Fashion Show held in the evening was one of the more unique and memorable runway shows I’ve seen in a while. It was hip, stylish and definitely entertaining. We also got to witness a surprise engagement at the end of the show. Needless to say, the woman was shocked, but she did say yes! Once again, I had a great time at this wedding show and look forward to watching it progress. I hope to be a part of it again next year!
