Working for yourself is a beautiful thing. I get the freedom to work from home and I’m free from the pressure of being told what to do. There is one problem though: For the most part, I’m free from feedback. When I had a full-time job, I always had a boss reviewing the quality of work I was producing. Sometimes it was good. Sometimes I needed improvement. Now, the only feedback I get is from the clients who hire me. Don’t get me wrong, this is great. I’ve had some of the best clients leave me the most uplifting reviews. I just can’t ask for them on a daily basis.

When I received an email from WeddingWire.com this morning, it made me realize how important these kind words mean to me. The email stated, “Congratulations! You have received a new review! ‘Perfection from first contact to delivered ‘goods’ at the reception. Highly recommended!’ (5 stars) -Private User” Like most people, I’m always a little sluggish on Monday mornings. After reading this, I was completely inspired to continue and improve on the hard work I’ve been putting in for my clients over the years. So, to whomever this “private user” was, thank you. You’re simple statement helps me and my future clients out more than you know. I’d also like to express gratitude to all of the other clients and couples I’ve worked with who have left me positive reviews. It truly means a lot.
