Happy Monday everyone! I hope the 4th of July treated you well. I decided to take the weekend off to spend it with my family. I have to admit it was a much needed get away. I love DJing and working hard to grow my business, but all of that hard work can leave me feeling drained after a while. Now, after a few days off, I’m fully refreshed and ready to go!
Today, I just wanted to share a song with you that I discovered recently. It’s called “My Baby Just Cares For Me” by Usher. It’s a remake of the classic Nina Simone track and can be found on the album Nina Revisited. I think it’s really well done and would make a great First Dance Song at a wedding. The original song has jazzy vibe going on, but Usher smooths it out and uses more contemporary R&B/Soul elements. It’s a little off the beaten path, but could make for a memorable first song. What do you think?
