Morgan and Tyler’s wedding at White Willow Estate in Star, Idaho took place on a gorgeous summer day in early September. The weather was warm and the feeling of excitement and anticipation filled the air. This amazing couple had been planning their wedding during the pandemic, so there had been a hint of uncertainty leading up to the big day. Now that it was here, you could sense the relief, and of course, the love that these two have for each other.
The talented Kayla Lawley with Brigade Events and I worked closely with Morgan and Tyler to create a fun, smooth-flowing timeline that felt natural and kept their guests engaged. I think we achieved just that! This was easily one of the smoothest weddings I had the pleasure to be a part of. There was a lot of work that went into it on the back end, which is what made it such a successful day.
The Ceremony
Morgan and Tyler’s wedding ceremony took place on the lush, green lawn in front of the Boise River at White Willow Estate – just adjacent to the reception area. As you can see from the images above, the natural landscape made for a beautiful backdrop.
Now, there would nothing worse than to have this intimate moment ruined by not being able to hear the words spoken between Tyler and Morgan. I provided high-quality microphones for their officiant Pauline Downey and the groom Tyler, which picked up Morgan’s voice. Everyone in attendance could hear every word spoken between those two, which is exactly how it should be :)
The Reception
As soon as the ceremony ended it was time for cocktail hour. The guests made an easy transition to the reception area where guests grabbed a drink and I mixed a variety of upbeat songs (80s, 90s, Country, Indie, Current).
About an hour later, I welcomed the guests to the reception and I prepped them for what would be an EPIC Grand Entrance. That flowed into dinner provided by A Lively Chef Catering, the Shoe Game, Toasts, Cake Cutting, a surprise performance by one of the guests and, of course, special dances (see images below by the talented Amanda Pope with Amanda Photo Co.).
The Dance Party
This was 100% a party crowd and I absolutely loved it! From young to old, nearly everyone was out on the dance floor at some point in the night. I mixed in classic dance hits, Hip-Hop, throwback hits from the 90’s and 2000’s and even a little bit of Country. It was so much fun and I think I can speak for everyone there when I say we could have easily gone a couple more hours. It was THAT good.
Morgan and Tyler obviously have a lot of love for each other. And it was apparent that their friends and family have a lot of love for them as well. That love and energy radiated throughout the night and that’s something to be proud of. It was an honor to help make their day special and I wish nothing but the best for the new Mr. & Mrs. George.
