Leisa & Benny’s Tamarack wedding on January 20, 2018 was a laid-back, yet fun and memorable day. They planned their big day from out-of-state and wanted someone who could simply throw a great party that they and their guests could enjoy. I’m so honored this cool couple chose me. We had an amazing night full of smiles, laughter and a bunch of dancing!

Their Reception was in the Arling Center at Tamarack. We had a beautiful view of the winter wonderland outside. I added some decorative uplighting along one of the walls to enhance the style of their wedding and it helped create a cozy atmosphere that fit the mood they were going for.

The Cocktail Hour was enjoyable for everyone as Leisa and Benny were away for pictures. I mixed recognizable oldies and classic rock songs with upbeat tracks from today. Once they returned, we kicked the party off right with an exciting Grand Entrance featuring the song “Roses” by Chainsmokers. We then transitioned into their First Dance which was “Lucky Ones” by Lana Del Rey. It was a unique song and a cool moment that fit them perfectly.

Dinner had a similar vibe as the Cocktail Hour. There were the same smiles and laughter as guests enjoyed the gourmet pizza bar provided by Delish Catering from McCall. We also had a little fun with Leisa and Benny towards the end of dinner by playing the Shoe Game. If I remember it right, they did a pretty good job of getting the answers right! A telltale sign of a great relationship!

After that were the Toasts, Cookie Cutting (No cake. How fun?!), Bouquet & Garter Tosses, a rocking dance party and then an imitation snow send off. Such a blast! It was definitely a night to remember and I’m honored to have been part it. Thank you Benny and Leisa!

DJ Eric Rhodes with Rhodes Entertainment

Eric Rhodes is the owner and lead DJ at Rhodes Entertainment in Boise, ID. Eric has always had a passion for entertaining people through music. He officially started mixing records at the University of Idaho in 1999. After college Eric moved to Boise where he started making a name for himself in the local music/club scene with his unique sets of House, Indie and Hip-Hop tracks. He started his business in 2011 after realizing that his career in TV news just wasn’t for him. Since then, Eric has been following his dream by building his event DJ Company.

Aside from music, Eric has a passion for fitness, personal development and, most importantly, raising his young family. He is the current President of his local Toastmasters Club and President of the Idaho Event Professionals group.
