Hey all, we’re only 6 days into March and it’s already shaping up to be a great month. So far, I’ve DJ’d a fun night at China Blue’s private club ElectroLounge, and solidified a couple of spring and summer weddings. I have to say the couple’s I’ve been meeting with have been so cool. It makes me really look forward to the wedding season!
As far as the rest of this month, I have some great gigs lined up. This Saturday, March 10th it’s off to Eagle, ID to spin at Willowcreek Lounge. This is always a fun time, because I get to mix so many different genres. One minute it’s Hip-Hop, the next minute it’s Disco, then before you know it I’m spinning House music. It can be challenging to please everyone, but I think I make it work.
The following weekend it’s off to The Red Room in Boise on Friday, March 16 to spin alongside Stardust. Bass Matters throws this event and it’s all electronic music. I love it! I always bring the Funky Electro House with a tinge of Hip-Hop and 80’s infused sounds. I get really ramped up for these nights. On Saturday, March 17 (St. Patty’s Day!) it’s the Vandal GOLD Party at Fatty’s Bar in Boise. I graduated from U of I in 2004 and was asked to DJ this event last month. I can’t wait! The following weekend is the Treefort Music Fest. I get the honor of DJing Saturday, March 24 at Neurolux after 4 amazing bands. I’m definitely excited for this inaugural festival.
