Elise and Jeff’s Redfish Lake Lodge wedding on July 7, 2018 was a day to remember! From the beautiful ceremony in front of the Sawtooth Mountains (where all the guests wore white shades…super hip and creative!) to the EPIC dance party to cap off the night, their wedding day was nothing short of special.

Ceremony

One of the best parts about having a Redfish Lake Lodge wedding is you get to say your vows in front of one of the most breathtaking backdrops in the United States; the Sawtooth mountains.

Jeff and Elise made it their own by doing three things:

  • Jeff’s cousins performed the Prelude, Processional and Recessional music
  • Elise’s Uncle officiated the ceremony
  • All of their guests wore white shades (such a cool idea!)

These personal and creative touches gave their ceremony some style and made it unique to them. I loved it!

(I did my part by providing the sound equipment for the ceremony (a battery-powered sound system with two speakers, several microphones and mic stands). This ensured the guests could hear the music and everyone’s voices clearly.)

Reception

Once the ceremony was over, the guests made their way from North Beach to the reception area next to Redfish Lake Lodge. Their cocktail hour was lively and fun, speeches and dancing were everything you’d expect from a tight-knit group like this and then the dance party was, as Elise and Jeff put it, “perfectly rowdy.” You’ll have to check out the pictures below to see for yourself. It was, by far, one of the most entertaining groups I’ve had the pleasure to perform for. I can’t remember the last time I saw a backflip at a wedding!

Reception Music:

  • Cocktail Hour & Dinner Music Style: Fun & Upbeat (mix of oldies, indie, classic rock, etc.)
  • Grand Entrance: The Beach Boys “Good Vibrations”
  • First Dance: The Head and the Heart “Rhythm and Blues
  • Parent’s Dance: The Beatles “Here Comes The Sun”
  • Dance Party: A mix of EVERYTHING! (Top 40, Classic Rock, Disco, 80s Pop, Funk)
  • Last Dance: AC/DC “Shook Me All Night Long”

DJ Eric Rhodes with Rhodes Entertainment

Eric Rhodes is the owner and lead DJ at Rhodes Entertainment in Boise, ID. Eric has always had a passion for entertaining people through music. He officially started mixing records at the University of Idaho in 1999. After college Eric moved to Boise where he started making a name for himself in the local music/club scene with his unique sets of House, Indie and Hip-Hop tracks. He started his business in 2011 after realizing that his career in TV news just wasn’t for him. Since then, Eric has been following his dream by building his event DJ Company.

Aside from music, Eric has a passion for fitness, personal development and, most importantly, raising his young family. He is also the former President of his local Toastmasters Club and President of the Idaho Event Professionals group.
