Hiring a DJ can be tricky, especially if you’ve never seen that person in action. If you’re thinking about choosing me as your DJ, this week will be a great opportunity to see what I’m all about. From spinning at The Owyhee Penthouse to Barbacoa, you’ll get a little taste of how mixing music and creating the right playlist can make your event top notch.
On Wednesday night (June 3), I’ll be spinning records at The Owyhee Penthouse in downtown Boise from 7pm until 11pm.
The Penthouse was recently opened to the public for the first time in decades. It’s been beautifully remodeled and offers open seating on the patio where you can enjoy a gorgeous view of downtown Boise. They’re calling it “Boise’s Best View” and it’s tough to argue with that. Kindness will be providing a full bar, appetizers and fun, upbeat music to keep the night moving along. There’s also a sleek checkerboard dance floor to get your boogie on.
The Penthouse will be open every Wednesday throughout the summer. I will be DJing there several times over the next few months, so stay tuned for future dates if you can’t make it this time around. (Like our Facebook page to keep informed about upcoming events.)
I’ll also be back at Barbacoa on Friday night from 9pm until late.
Barbacoa is one of my favorite spots in Boise and it’s the reason I’ve been a resident DJ there for three years now. It’s hip. It’s unique. It’s always a great time. My style here is usually a mix of House, Hip-Hop, Top 40, Indie, R&B and Classic Party Jams. It’s also a great place to listen because the music is played in several different locations; Lounge, Dance Floor, Taco Bar, Main Level Patio, and Luna Rooftop Patio. No matter where you go (except the dining room) you will hear the music playing. I love that. Not a lot of venues can offer that kind of variety. Not to mention they have a stellar Happy Hour, which includes half-off select wine, beer, spirits and cocktails starting at 10pm.
